After delaying his team announcement for as long as possible to allow late fitness doubts Rhys Priestland and Jamie Roberts time to recover, Warren Gatland has named his Wales side to play Ireland this weekend in Dublin. Dan Lydiate, Gethin Jenkins, Matthew Rees, Luke Charteris and Alun Wyn Jones are all out injured.

I’m glad to see Gill & Cuthbert getting a well deserved chance. Guess we best get used to seeing North in a 11 shirt for the next few years! Would rather Shingler to Tipuric on the bench but other than that it looks a good team as long as Priestland and Roberts are actually 100% fit and don’t have a re-occurrence early on!
i am concerned that roberts and priestland may not be rally fit and i would prefer henson to williams on the bench

I have to say that I every time I have seen Rhys Gill play for Saracens he has been a yellow card waiting to happen. It will be interesting to see if Gatland and his much vaunted coaching staff manage to calm him down.
I reckon though, of he plays each game this tournament, he is liable to pick up 2 yellows.
It’s a real shame that Mathew Rhys and Gethin jenkins are out but where is ALUN WYN JONES at 5 come on Gatland!!!!!! It is also a shame that Danny Lydiate has to miss the first match but he will be playing next time.Im also glad Toby Faletau is playing he is coming on in leaps and bounds. I hope wales win on sunday but we will see.
