Trial of Disqus comments system
Some of you may have noticed that we’ve installed a new commenting system called Disqus, which is much more sophisticated than the native WordPress tech.
As debate over the Six Nations, Heineken Cup and Lions selections hots up, the new system will hopefully make it easier to comment, easier to find discussions, easier to interact which each other, and easier for us to moderate spam and other nonsense.
We’ll give it a go over the next couple of weeks, and see whether it makes much difference – and any feedback is appreciated, as always.
Here’s to 2013, bigger and better and following the Lions!

Using this thread as a test. Have not been able to post to another thread I tried twice on.
If that was last night, there might have been some issues whilst we imported existing comments – but this looks like it has worked. Let me know if you have any other issues.

Struggling to show the recent comments in the sidebar, and hook it up with comment numbers etc, but sure we’ll get there.
Trial complete for now…I’ve switched it off!

I hope it’s left off – I didn’t like having to share my details with yet another website and like it even less now I find out they prevent you from deleting your account once created.
Thanks for the feedback…Disqus has some nice features, but keeping things simple might be best.
