Paul Sackey has been added to the England squad this week as cover for David Strettle who was injured playing for Harlequins at the weekend.
This follows the news that Simon Shaw has joined the squad and is in the frame for selection to face New Zealand.
The team will be announced on Wednesday lunchtime, and we’ll bring you news on The Rugby Blog.

Great. Let’s follow the current strategy and put him in at fullback.
Who needs Ben Foden anyway….
Is Foden in the squad? I was assuming that his selection for the weekend was a mere formality, but then again, I thought that last week after the first episode of Monye mishaps.
Sackey, huh – just what we need. A player who is pretty decent with ball in hand in space, but can’t break through a defensive line and is particularly lame in defence.
Foden is in the squad I believe, but we’ll probably find out later that he’s been released back to his club…
If Shaw is selected to play (as I think he will be), who will be on the bench? As Deacon has started both games, surely MJ will then put him on the bench (unfortunately). But if Lawes or Kennedy are benching, then how the hell has Deacon be selected for 2 wks in a row ahead of them.
No matter who is selected though, I’m pretty sure we’re going to get a kicking on saturday and play (if i can actually use that word) 80 mins worth of crap and uninspiring rugby again.
As for Foden – I highly doubt he’ll make the team. Cueto will more than likely be slotted in at fullback with Monye back on the wing. Other than that, there will be no changes to the backs. As for the forwards, Shaw will probably come in for Deacon and possibly Worsley for Croft.
