The Ireland camp have released a statement confirming that Rob Kearney may miss the game against England in a fortnight’s time.
The team doctor explained, “Kearney injured his right knee during the first half of the game with France and was forced to leave the field. He had a scan on his knee on Sunday afternoon and it has confirmed a strain to his medial ligament.”
“Kearney will undergo rehabilitation, but is considered doubtful for the game against England in Twickenham.”
Brian O’Driscoll also took a blow to his knee, but the camp are “optimistic that he will be available for the England game.”
Need more news like this if we are to avoid being on the receiving end of a good whipping!
Ireland are in a somber mood and will want to respond strongly, we seem quite happy with ourselves, however should be in the same mood as Ireland as our performance, whilst a win, was worse than theirs! We’ve riden our luck so far think it will run out in 2 weeks!
Jerry Flannery has been cited, so that’s likely to be another one out…
