POLL: Who is your Aviva Premiership Player of the Year?

The shortlist for this year’s Premiership Player of the Year has been released ahead of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards on May the 8th.

A selected media panel have nominated Chris Robshaw (Harlequins), Mike Brown (Harlequins), Julian Salvi (Leicester Tigers), Nick Wood (Gloucester), James Scaysbrook (Exeter Chiefs) and Brad Barritt (Saracens) for the annual award.

Robshaw has been at the forefront of a fantastic season for Harlequins in the year he became England captain, whilst team-mate Brown has been consistently outstanding at full back. The acquisition of Julian Salvi has proved a masterstroke by Richard Cockerill, while in a difficult season for Gloucester, Nick Wood has been the shining light in the front row with his positive performances. Finally, James Scaysbrook’s passion and aggression have been at the heart of the rise of the Exeter Chiefs this season, whilst Brad Barritt has developed into a Test star along with proving himself to be an essential cog in the Saracens backline.

But who would you pick as your Premiership Player of the Year? If there’s a player that isn’t on the above list – Rob Miller, Tom Homer, George Pisi and Jimmy Gopperth spring to mind – then let us know in the comments:
