England have had a better track record than most in recent years against Australia, the games we have won (and drawn) all founded on a dominant scrum. I had really expected the Welsh scrum to put down a marker from the first 'engage' of the first test and everythng else to build from there, sadly wrong on that one.

Still think Wales have a win within them, but it must start with forward dominance.

Yes Pontylad, you are too accurate by far - although i do agree with your comments the majority of time - Wales certainly need to bring in at angles Cuthbert and North more too

I said last week i thought Australia were about one score better that Wales pity I was so flaming accurate though. I'm afraid our probable game plan still leads me to think the same this week.Factor in Joubert and Beale's return and you can maybe add another score to that.

Would be delighted to be proved wrong of course.

Oh well .. at least I can have a lie in on Saturday now then. Joubert and Pocock can get on with their mutual admiration without me.

Does anyone know who the ref is? I think a NH ref is due for this series for Wales, from which we could actually use any scrum superiority we might get. I do agree though that Adam and Gethin look tired and have not been on top. The Welsh game over the last few years has been simple to judge - if Adam is not playing or not on form we struggle. He is the rock of the Welsh game and we need him to get on top is weekend.

I fancy us sneaking a win but that's probably until the first five mins when Priestland shows that the plan will be to kick it to Beale on every phase... However, it would be just like us to win the one that doesn't matter.

Can't see the Welsh winning this. With Beale back, that Aussie backline looks very dangerous. Could be more than 6 point win for Aus

Think both Gethin Jenkins and Adam Jones have been poor on this tour. Wales badly need them both firing.

With Cole, Jones, Ross and Murray on the tighthead and Jenkins, Healey, Marler and Corbisiero on the loose, the Lions will be a bit spoilt for choice when it comes to props - a rather good situation to be in!
