Everyone is saying how great the French are. I must admit they have played well but if you can go at them like Wales did in the second half they made the French at best look very ordinary, the problem is we don’t play expansive rugby.

It wouldn’t be so bad if we could all be confident that a rebuiling programme woud come out of this awful 6 nations (awful for England, Scotland and Wales) as far as the ERFU are concerned. I won’t hold my breath, and if England pull off the upset of the tournement and beat France a huge sticking plaster will be applied to hide the proverbial cracks.

I remember the glory days when everyone would hold out hope by saying “you can never tell *which France* are going to turn up”.
If they keep this un-Gallic consistency the we’re all doomed!

Corect – France are beatable. Also correct that there could be an England XV with the players we have available that could beat them. But not this bunch and more importantly with the “game-plan” these bunch of half wit coaches have cooked up

Why is Tom Palmer on standby instead of Courtney Lawes? I quite like Palmer but as with Charlie Hodgson this seems remarkably inconsistent.

Yes France let in 2 Italian tries, only because they took their foot of the gas being so far ahead. I think England are too negative to pull this one off and in Paris. Prove me wrong boys I don’t mind a bit of ‘umble pie now and then, prove me wrong if you can…..
