France continue march towards Grand Slam

France continued their unbeaten run at the Millennium Stadium against Wales, playing well enough in the first half to build a lead from which the opposition could not come back.

Les Bleus were composed and controlling throughout the first half and went into half-time 20-0 up. Wales nearly mounted another unlikely comeback whilst the French gave up playing for 25 minutes after half time, but ultimately, they did enough to ensure they are still on course for the Championship.

Both sides showed glimpses of brilliance and moments of madness, and France didn’t look quite so invincible as on previous outings. Warren Gatland will not be too happy about all the points leaked in the first half, and if they had kept it tighter, they could have won the game.

It was another pulsating Six Nations match, and we can’t wait for the others.
